WE SUPPORT OURVETERANS & COPSWhen you are deep off the grid, GPS and smartphones are useful right up until the battery dies or the signal drops. A real compass never needs either. The TrueNorth Lensatic Compass by Off-Grid Gear is built for exactly that moment: a rugged, easy-to-use lensatic compass that gets you home from unfamiliar terrain, every time.
Proven in rigorous testing under extreme conditions, the TrueNorth is designed to shrug off harsh weather and hard use. Just like our knives, it is built like a tank, and it is waterproof too. Pair it with a map, add it to your hiking, camping, and survival gear, and you will always have a way back, no matter how far off the grid you travel.

The floating compass dial is designed for quick, accurate readings, with a 360-degree scale and a liquid-filled level that keeps everything stable. The sighting window with reticle is easy to see, making it simple to aim and read, and the built-in optical eyepiece makes sighting bearings effortless. With both azimuth 360-degree and reversed 360-degree scales, you can take bearings from yourself to a landmark, or reverse bearings from a landmark back to you, quickly and easily.

Designed to take rough use, the TrueNorth is both waterproof and shockproof. The base and cover are tough zinc alloy, built for years of hard duty. Camping, hunting, boating, exploring: wherever your Off-Grid adventures take you, this compass is ready.

The back of the compass carries a conversion chart for angle, gradient, and distance, so the reference you need is always in hand. The rotating bezel ring lets you lock in your bearing and stay pointed in the right direction, and the optical eyepiece makes every sighting quick and accurate.

When you are navigating, the needle has to settle fast and point true. Weather can turn even on a relaxed hike, and you do not want to stand there waiting on a twitchy needle. The TrueNorth pairs a liquid-filled design with a sapphire jewel bearing, so the needle moves freely and settles swiftly for clean, steady readings.

Frigid winter treks or scorching desert heat, the TrueNorth keeps working. It is rated for temperatures from -22°F to +140°F (-30°C to +60°C), so the liquid inside does not freeze or bubble, and your compass stays functional in any environment you drag it through.
REAL QUALITY. REAL VALUE.
