We upgraded the steel to Crucible 154CM at 61 HRC, added size and heft, and reworked the tanto blade with a centered, sharp tip for piercing and sharper tanto angles for better slicing. The V1 DNA is still there. It just bites harder now.
The signature spine cutouts stay, now topped with milled jimping that runs three quarters of the spine, so your thumb or index finger stays planted. The coyote tan G10 scales get a milled crosshatch pattern and contoured chamfers that fit any size hand. With a 3.75" blade and a roomy 4" grip, the V2 is borderline XL: a big, hard-use tanto EDC knife without going full XL. A deep carry clip on three Torx screws, left or right carry, and a movable G10 filler that keeps the scales flush round it out.

The 3.75" blade is cut from 4 mm thick 154CM and finished in a tumbled graywash DLC that hides scratches and carry wear. 154CM is an American steel from Crucible Industries with a long track record: strong edge retention, good corrosion resistance, solid toughness, and it still sharpens up without a fight. That balance is why it has been a go-to for tactical knives for decades. We stamped "Crucible 154CM" on the blade as a nod to the steel that has stood the test of time.
The tanto grind comes to a sharp, centered point for piercing, and the angled tip meets a straight edge for clean slicing. Milled jimping over the spine cutouts gives your thumb real traction, so it stays planted through hard cuts.
The coyote tan G10 scales are milled in a crosshatch pattern with contoured edges, so the grip is aggressive without chewing up your hand. Gloved or bare, there is room to get a full, secure hold. Solid hardware locks the scales down, and a G10 filler keeps the non-clip side smooth.
Big knife, real fidget factor. The blade rides on ceramic ball bearings for a smooth, snappy flip and drop-shut action when you close it. Jimping on the flipper tab gives your finger a positive catch, so deployment is clean and the liner lock snaps into solid lockup. Flip it once and you will be hooked.
The deep carry clip rides the Viper low in your pocket and keeps it right there when you reach for it. The clip mounts with three Torx screws that sit flush with the handle, so nothing snags going in or out. Switch to left-hand carry and the movable G10 filler swaps sides to keep the scales flush and smooth. That upgrade came straight from customer requests.
