The Backcountry Coyote was born through our customers input and suggestions. This second generation fixie we contoured and heavily chamfered the handles for more comfort, and changed the sheath system to the OG Lo-Pro with a thumb release same as the Alpha-Dog sheath. The grind changed from hollow to a compound grind giving the edge more strength and durability. The Backcountry design intention was to create a knife that could take a beating in the woods or tactical use. We used Cryo D2 (HRC 61) full tang steel construction and lightly tumbled gray titanium nitride, this fixed blade is ready for work. The Backcountry crosses over to an excellent fighting & self defense knife as well. The ergonomic handle is made with grippy G10 scales with jimping on the top front and back, gloves or no gloves, this knife will not leave your hand. For scout carry, this sheath is compatible with Blade-Tech's "Tek-Lok" belt mounting solution. Take it deep in the woods or keep it ready for tactical use, the Backcountry Coyote is an excellent edition to your fixed blade collection.
Cryo D2 offers excellent edge retention & the TiNi coating creates excellent corrosion and ware resistance. The blade is lightly tumbled with a graywash look, the Titanium Nitride coating adds extra toughness and corrosion resistance...and it just looks badass. Good news, you won't need to sharpen for a while even after tons of hard-use.

The Backcountry Coyote V2 will stay in your hand with gloves or without gloves. Just like our Rapid Fire Coyote handle, the Backcountry has a tactical grip design with grippy scales and milled jimping in the G10 for your thumb and palm. One simple grip, or reverse grip, and you're locked in. G10 material is tough, strong, lightweight, weather resistant, wet or dry, the Backcountry Coyote is ready to tackle whatever you can dish out.

Well, we simply listen to our awesome Off-Grid customers, read the comments and reviews and find the design elements that can enhance and refine the design while keeping it close to it's original outline. In this case, we humbly think this newest version of the Backcountry Coyote touched all the bases.
The custom weatherproof Kydex holds the Backcountry with excellent security, no movement, no rattle, your blade is safe and secure when you're on the move. We redesigned the sheath and made it more robust as well as adding a thumb push release, quick & easy one hand deployment. The sheath comes with the popular OG Lo-Pro belt clip system made famous by the Alpha-Dog's set up. Customers asked for this change, and we made it happen. For scout carry, we suggest purchasing a Tek-Lok clip, easily found on Amazon.
