The ShoreGuard is Off-Grid Gear's purpose-built fixed blade for people who spend their time around water. Boats, docks, lakes, rivers, marinas, kayaks, campsites. It was designed to live in a tackle box, a boat tool kit or a lake house drawer and get used, not babied. Fishing line, rope, cord, bait, camp chores. Whatever comes up around the water, this is the knife you reach for. And at just 2.76 oz. (3.5 oz. in the sheath), it is light enough that you forget it is on your belt until you need it.
The blade is German 4116 stainless steel, a corrosion-resistant steel chosen for exactly this job. It handles wet conditions, sharpens fast and holds a working edge without needing to be fussed over. On top of that, every ShoreGuard blade gets a transparent titanium coating that adds another layer of protection while keeping the clean stainless look. Rinse it with fresh water and dry it after a day on salt water and it will stay that way.
The handle is molded polypropylene with a rubberized TPR grip. Pronounced finger grooves, a large front guard and textured contact points along the spine keep the knife locked in your hand whether it is bone dry or soaked. Control matters most when your hands are wet, and that is what this handle was built around.
Every ShoreGuard ships with a close-fitting molded sheath that snaps the knife in with real retention and carries on an integrated belt clip.
OD Green / Black: The plain edge ShoreGuard. OD Green and black handle, matching OD Green sheath, and a clean plain edge for straightforward utility work. No serrations, no gut hook, no extras. Want high visibility and a gut hook? The ShoreGuard also comes in Orange / Black with a semi-serrated edge.

German 4116 is a stainless steel with a well-earned reputation in knives that live in wet environments. It was picked for the ShoreGuard because it delivers the balance that matters around water: strong corrosion resistance, good toughness and an edge that comes back fast on a stone or a pull-through sharpener. It is not a super steel and it is not pretending to be one. It is the right steel for a knife that gets splashed, rinsed, tossed in a tackle box and pulled out again next weekend. The transparent titanium coating adds an extra protective layer over the steel without changing its clean stainless appearance. Corrosion resistant is not the same as rustproof, so after salt water give it a quick fresh water rinse and dry it off. At 2.33 mm thick, the blade is built to slice, not pry, which is exactly what line, rope, bait and camp food call for. The OD Green / Black keeps it simple with a clip point and a plain edge: clean cuts on line, rope and bait, nothing to snag, and easy to touch up.

A knife you use around water needs a handle you can trust when everything is slick. The ShoreGuard handle is molded from durable polypropylene for structure, with a rubberized TPR gripping surface over the top for traction. Deep finger grooves and ergonomic contouring put your hand exactly where it should be, and a large front guard keeps it there when you are pushing through rope or working a fish. Textured sections along the back of the handle give your thumb something to bite into. Wet hands, gloved hands, cold hands. The grip is built to stay put. The OD Green and black colorway is low-key and looks right at home with the rest of your outdoor gear.

The ShoreGuard was not designed as a tactical knife that happens to get wet. It was designed from the start for the places most knives do not like: boats, docks, marinas, riverbanks, kayaks and beach camps. Cut fishing line and leader. Slice through rope and cord. Handle bait and fish at the cleaning station. Knock out camp chores when the trip moves ashore. Keep one in the tackle box, one in the boat tool kit and one at the lake house so there is always a knife within reach. OD Green blends in with a pack, a tackle bag or a camp kit. It is a knife you can leave with your gear and not worry about.

The sheath was engineered to fit the ShoreGuard tight. Push the knife in and it snaps home with a retention you can feel, and it stays there through a rough ride across the lake or a scramble down to the water. The integrated belt clip lets you carry it on a belt, a waistband, a PFD strap or a pack, or just drop it in a tackle box knowing the edge is covered. The OD Green sheath matches the knife, with Off-Grid Gear branding molded right in. Knife and sheath together weigh just 3.5 oz., so it rides on a belt or a PFD all day without pulling or getting in the way. Simple, secure and built for a knife that gets carried, not displayed.

The ShoreGuard is Off-Grid Gear doing what it does best: a serious, purpose-built tool at a price that makes sense. German 4116 stainless steel, a transparent titanium coating, a rubberized wet-grip handle and a molded OD Green sheath that actually holds the knife, all at 3.5 oz. ready to carry. One job: be the knife that is always with your boating, fishing and outdoor gear when you need it. Add it to your kit and get on the water.
