The modified drop point blade is Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel, 3.4 mm thick, with a gray titanium coating and a stonewashed finish. It takes a keen edge, resists corrosion and sharpens without a fight. Pronounced spine jimping gives you grip when the cut matters.
The handle is full tang with contoured tan G10 scales, a deep finger groove and a large lanyard hole. It is one of the most comfortable compact fixed blades we have ever held. Good steel is where a good knife starts. Sandvik 14C28N is a Swedish stainless with a strong reputation for toughness, corrosion resistance and easy sharpening. It takes a fine edge and is easy to put an edge back on after heavy use. The blade is a modified drop point, a proven all-around shape with a controllable tip and a working belly for slicing. The Isoline runs it at 3.4 mm thick for a stout spine in a compact blade. The gray titanium coating is stonewashed, which gives it that worn-in graywash look and helps hide the marks that come with real use. Pronounced spine jimping keeps your thumb planted.
This is the part that sets the Isoline apart. You get two complete sheaths with every knife. The black molded Kydex sheath gives you secure retention and low maintenance carry, and it ships with a universal belt clip already mounted for right-hand carry. No assembly. Carry on the left? The mounting holes are the same on both sides of the sheath, so the clip moves right over. The clip is reinforced polymer and opens like a clamshell, then latches shut around your belt. On and off in seconds, and your belt stays on. It fits belts up to 2 inches wide, with two adjustable spacer bars for a tight fit on narrower ones. The brown leather sheath is stitched, stamped with the Off-Grid Gear logo and secures the knife with a retention strap and snap. It is the traditional way to carry, and it looks right at home next to tan G10. Most knives in this range give you one sheath. This one lets you choose every morning.
The handle is the reason people do not want to put this knife down. The tan G10 scales are contoured, not flat slabs, with a pronounced finger groove that locates your hand right away. Full tang construction runs steel the full length of the handle, and two fasteners hold the scales in place. At 16.7 mm thick, it gives you a full, secure grip that most compact fixed blades do not. G10 is tough, stable and grippy, and the large lanyard hole at the rear takes cord easily.
