By popular demand, the Caiman has a big brother...the Caiman XL is here to offer the same smooth action and razor sharp Bowie blade in a larger package. This version we used Sandvik 14C28N blade steel with a DLC blackwash finish. Here's the backstory on how the Caiman and Caiman XL design came about...A Caiman is a feared crocodile in Central America. During my surf trips to El Salvador, Costa Rica and Nicaragua, the locals would always warn us to avoid river mouths. However, this is exactly where the best waves are, in the Caiman's backyard...saw a few of these monsters up close and personal. The Caiman XL design resembles the long snout of the mighty Caiman, and closely resembles a Bowie shaped blade. Like all Off-Grid knife designs, the Caiman XL is overbuilt and made for everyday hard-use. The steel is Sandvik 14C28N with a DLC blackwash finish and textured G10 scales. The Caiman XL rides super deep in your pocket with the option of left hand carry. The blade glides on ceramic bearings with a satisfying flipping action. Add the Caiman XL to your daily rotation, and if you're ever by a river mouth in Central America, watch your six.
The Caiman XL blade design is influenced by the legendary Bowie Knife. Not only does this blade look cool, the grind and the vicious razor sharp point means business. The Caiman XL will handle all your EDC tasks and look quite badass while doing them. Sandvik is a world leading steel manufacturer in Sweden that makes advanced stainless steels. Their 14C28N offers a unique combination of excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. We added a DLC coating that adds even more corrosion resistance and toughness with a blackwash tumbled finish.
The Caiman XL will lock into your hand with a four finger grip with room to spare, even XL gloved hands will be comfortable. We added milled jimping on the back for added no-slip traction. Once you flip the blade and take hold of the handle, you'll know this knife is ready for work.

The Caiman crocodile is the master of camouflage, always ready to strike it's unaware prey. Even being an "XL" EDC, this knife will ride deep in your pocket with the option of left or right hand carry. Easily accessed and deployed, a non-reflective blackwash blade will keep a low profile. We made the screws on the clip flush with the handle, easy in and out of the pocket, no snags.
The Caiman XL has some tactical features such as extra jimping going 3/4 of the spine of the blade, your thumb will naturally land on this spot every time you grip it.
